Foxnut was built because we kept asking the same question: if someone asks ChatGPT or Perplexity to recommend a business in their city, who shows up — and why? The answer turns out to be both measurable and fixable. That's what we do.
What we do
Foxnut runs your business through 15–20 natural-language search queries across the four major AI engines — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity. For each query, we measure whether your business is mentioned, where it ranks, and what the AI says about it.
That data becomes a visibility score, a competitor comparison, and a prioritized list of specific fixes — ordered by how much each one is likely to move the needle.
We call this GEO: Generative Engine Optimization. It's different from traditional SEO because the signals are different — review volume, directory citations, content that directly answers the queries customers are asking AI. Most of the gaps are fixable in days, not months.
Why it matters now
When someone asks an AI assistant “best HVAC company near me,” they don't get ten blue links — they get a paragraph with a recommendation. If your business isn't in that paragraph, you're invisible to that customer.
